Simply Smiles benefits customers. That is the whole point of running a company! As I mentioned before, I am doing a business plan as an independent study. I will periodically post my progress so as to better describe the goals of my company. Today I will cover how my company will benefit its customers, its investors, its lenders, its suppliers, and its owner.
My company will provide many needs of my customers. Any company that already utilizes entertainers will have a new source of entertainers that does a better job than any existing companies. We will offer a wider array of services than other companies in the area do, allowing organizers to book multiple services with one call and individuals to pick from a variety of services to fit their singular need. We will allow restaurants to enhance their customers’ dining experiences reliably and affordably, by inviting our entertainers in to bring smiles to their guests. Companies that seek to attract clients at festivals and trade shows will have the opportunity to bring in a dynamic entertainer that understands their needs and can interpret the situation and client needs like a fellow business person. Organizations that have regular events can acquire an array of quality entertainers at a volume discount that cannot be achieved by hiring multiple companies.
In order to better define the benefits I will bring them, I need to break them into categories.
Simply Smiles benefits customers that will be hosting a birthday party, family reunion, or similar event. In most cases, they will be small events with one or two entertainers max. What I can offer to these clients is a wide array of services to choose from, and a performance that utilizes various skills beyond those that a competitor may be able to offer. By providing an entertainer that can both paint faces, twist balloons, and juggle, I will be able to provide the entertainment for a better price than a specialized company can. Taking a performance based approach will allow me to surpass competition that merely handles the kids on a personal basis, and we will be able to customize our events to customer needs. Including balloon decor will increase our value to certain types of clients, and our large team will allow me to have entertainers that specialize in specific themes.
Simply Smiles benefits customers that hold events that are characterized by low budgets and a large volume of kids. My best way to have an advantage with these organizations is to offer a volume discount on hiring my wide array of services. Rather than calling for two balloon twisters here and three face painters there, I will be able to supply them all of their entertainers for a lower total cost than my competitors will. It is very possible that these entertainers can also take a break from their work to do a performance. The larger the event, the greater the potential for me to offer up discounted services. For clients that are forced to hire on the low-end of their needed entertainers, I can provide multitalented entertainers that will be able to meet their demands exactly: rather than taking their chances with two twisters and three painters, they can hire one or two of each and fill in the rest with multifaceted entertainers that can switch back and forth depending on the demands of the attendees and the reality of the situation.
Simply Smiles benefits customers that have needs beyond just entertainment. These events are different than most jobs, for one fundamental reason: The entertainer is there to help the company sell, not to entertain. It seems backwards at first, since entertainment is what we do. However, in many situations a company hires an entertainer to draw potential customers into their space and provide an opportunity for the business to convert leads into sales. As our company founder will have an MBA and experience as a business owner, the company will be in a unique situation to help tailor this entertainment to the company’s goals. Most entertainers are artists rather than business people, so it takes direct explanation and communication to make sure they are accomplishing the goals of their client. Our company will ask business owners to complete a questionnaire so that we are able to help them reach their goals. The company’s founder can then coach the entertainer to help reach these goals and assign an individual whose strengths match up with the requirements of the client.
Simply Smiles benefits customers in the food industry by helping them differentiate their businesses. These businesses run on thin margins are always looking for new ways to bring in customers and retain them. Often they run promotions for a particular night of the week and offer discounted kids meals. Sometimes companies hire entertainers to come in during these nights, either weekly or biweekly. By offering multiple services, our company will have an advantage over other companies that are competing for the same clients. The restaurant can alternate between face painting and balloons, or they can hire a clown or a performer for a particular night. They will have the opportunity to try out different acts and determine what works best for them.
Simply Smiles benefits customers on a mission. Our services for these organizations are much like they are for corporate events. Not only will we partner with some non-profits that do work that excite us, but we will offer consultations on how our services can help them reach their specific event goals.
